I’m sharing one of my very favorite salads over on the SeaChange blog today. It has roasted red pepper, avocado, smoked cheese, walnuts, sage, and of course smoked salmon (of the delicious maple glazed variety!) along with an extremely wonderful chipotle-maple-balsamic vinaigrette. Check it out!
Cedar Planked Teriyaki Chicken
Contrary to the image that might pop into your head when you think โCanadian winterโ, on the West coast of Canada it doesnโt actually get super snowy and impossibly cold โ it mostly just gets super rainy and only rather cold. This means that, among other things, it is still totally possible to grill or barbeque outside through the winter. Which explains how I found myself cooking cedar planked teriyaki chicken on the barbeque on a drizzly November day. Read the rest of this post at the SeaChange blog! ๐
Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in celebrating today in the US (or elsewhere, for that matter!) ๐
Smoked Salmon and Corn Chowder
Sweet corn has got to be one of the best things about late summer. I could eat it every day straight off the cob, but sometimes it’s fun to do other things with it – like putting it in a creamy chowder with smoked salmon. Recipe on the SeaChange blog!
Grilled Pizza with Smoked Salmon, Goat Cheese & Arugula
This summer has been all about pizza for me – and the perfect summer pizza is a grilled pizza. This one is topped with smoked salmon, goat cheese, red onions, capers, and arugula. So good! Head over to the SeaChange blog for more pictures and a full recipe tutorial. ๐
Tea Party!
This year is Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee.
Crab pรขtรฉ and smoked salmon are delicious.
I love tea parties.
Head over to the SeaChange blog to see how I combined these three facts into something worth raising your pinky for. ๐
Cedar Planked Salmon with Rosemary Smoke

Salad Lyonnaise with Candied Salmon
Just a quick note to say that I have another guest post on the SeaChange blog: Salad Lyonnaise with Candied Salmon. In addition to the candied salmon, there’s golden fried garlic, buttery toasted croutons, and a perfectly poached egg. I think it’s a good one – go check it out and let me know what you think. ๐
Fettuccine Alfredo with Smoked Sockeye Salmon
Some fun things have been happening behind the scenes here on my little piece of the internet, one of which is that I’ve started a stint as a guest blogger for SeaChange Canadian Gifts. SeaChange is a company based on Salt Spring Island, BC, where I grew up, and they are known for their delicious smoked salmon products (among other quintessentially Canadian edibles). I’m really excited to be working with them and using their products to develop recipes, the first of which is this Fettuccine Alfredo with Smoked Sockeye Salmon.
